I am Beverley, the owner of Tranquil Mind Hypnotherapy. I am the "Data Controller," which means I am responsible for keeping your personal information safe.

2. Why I collect your info

I only collect information that helps me give you the best possible support. This includes your contact details and notes about our sessions. I process this data because it is necessary to provide your therapy and to meet my professional insurance requirements.

3. What I keep and for how long

Notes: I keep records of our sessions securely (either in a locked cabinet or encrypted digital files).
Retention: By law and NCH rules, I must keep adult records for 8 years after our last session. For children, I keep them until they turn 25. After this, they are securely destroyed.

4. Confidentiality

Everything we talk about is private. I will only share your information if:

You ask me to (e.g., talking to your GP).
I am legally required to (e.g., safeguarding concerns or a court order).
I am discussing my work with my professional supervisor (your identity remains anonymous).

5. Your rights

You have the right to see the information I hold about you or ask me to correct any mistakes. You can also ask me to delete your data, though I may have to keep some info to satisfy my professional insurance.
